To make the change to Daylight Saving Time easier and more fun for their customers, South Beach Coffee Company will give a free Miami Herald newspaper with every purchase of any cup of coffee beverage at the company-operated retail store. The store is located at 975 Arthur Godfrey Road in Miami Beach, Florida and it is situated on Miami Beach's popular 41st street. The Daylight Saving Time promotion will last until the end of April and it will be limited to one person/visit a day during weekdays.

Daylight Saving Time was proposed in 1784 by Benjamin Franklin and adopted in the United States in 1918 to conserve fuel for the war effort. Daylight time saves energy, reduce people's exposure to crime and promotes travel safety, because the sun is shining later in the day. Daylight Saving Time (called "Summer Time" in many places in the world) begins for most of the United States at 2 A.M. on the first Sunday of April. In the European Union, it starts at 1 AM last Sunday in March. Today approximately 70 countries make better use of daylight by utilizing "Summer Time" in at least a portion of the country.
